Coach Information
Player Cards
As discussed in Coaches Meetings, each player must have a player card with picture ID at each game or they will not be able to play per the WSYSA rules. The player cards will be issued sometime in August. Coaches or parents have to get a small picture, glue it on the card and then have the card laminated. Coaches keep the cards with them and give them to the referee prior to each game. Referees will verify each player based on her picture ID before the game. More info to come so stay tuned.
Know the Rules
Read the rules and guidelines for all Eastside Youth Soccer Association (EYSA) teams in the 2007 handbook. EYSA prepares this handbook to help referees, coaches and parents understand the philosophy of soccer at each level of play sponsored by EYSA and to know the rules of play for each level.
Learn the FIFA Laws of the Game on the official FIFA website and read the FAQ documents posted there.
Read all the Rules by Age to see number of players on the field, duration of match, ball size, etc.
